Merry Christmas
Thanks everyone for keeping this conversion ahead of schedule over the holidays. I hope you are all getting your fair share of turkey and enjoying time with your families. Keep up the good work as the light is indeed visible now at the end of the tunnel.

I have started the tspopulatecampaigntradeagreements job.at.9:30 xmas morning.
Didi
3:30 - still running.
(these timings were difficult to predict since we never had much opportunity to run many tests with real data, since they were very time-specific.. also, the criteria changed frequently. just have to keep monitoring it)

another day of converting comes to a close..
the AR problem was fixed by restoring the database, changing the store dimension of customer 2953 to be '2953' instead of '2853', and then reloading the data.
after that, everything ran fine..
some AP Invoices have errors, so they are sitting in an invoice journal (ap->journals->invoices->invoice journal), but i think that is normal.
the last backup made is after AP invoices, and before prices.dat (which was started at 3:45am)
if someone could start the 'tsPopulateCampaignTradeAgreements' job tomorrow that would be rockin.
there is very little left now, i can almost see the light!

AR balance issue
It looks like AR balances failed...
heres the last few lines of the ar file:
Warning Message (21:43:49) Store '2853' does not exist.
Warning Message (21:43:49) Store '2853' does not exist.
Error Message (21:43:49) Posting has been canceled.
Error Message (21:43:49) Error in 20098924
this was caused by customer '2953' having '2853' setup on their dimensions tab. although i feel pretty confident that this could be fixed by fixing up the custinvoicetable and custinvoicelines tables and re-posting, i think the most safe move is to restore from a backup, fix the customer 2953, and re-import AR balances - so that's what we're going to do

Looks like it will be done shortly?
Didi

Sales orders running
Just checked, and the first block of sales orders are still going good - its about 70% done.
when these finish, i'll take another backup, run the query that looks at backorders (and send it to doris/roger/etc) and start the next, and final (and largest) batch of sales orders.

member quotes done
quotes are done, i'm taking a backup and about to start sales orders. (filled lines only)
member quotes back underway
Luc fixed up the affected items except for 1 (4755880) which couldn't be fixed up because fo PO / QOH transactions.. fortunetly this item was on only 1 SO, so we removed it from the data files and will manually look after the item later on.
member quotes were restarted about 1:30 - should be done around 3:30ish

member quote issue
Member qutoes stopped processing due to a unit conversion error. Luc remembered that items with eco fees needed to be setup with an 'EA' code, unfortunetly there are 8 items with eco fees that have other unit codes.
i've written a query to identify these items and the model quotes they are on (they may need to be removed from the quotes before having their unit codes changed..
the conversion is ready to be restarted when the items have been fixed

Communication Update - 11:15 AM
The Member Quote extract has completed and John has started the conversion. John is estimating that it will complete sometime between 12 PM and 1:00 PM.
The extract jobs have completed and are on the server ready for conversion as of 10:58 AM.
I verified the record counts and we are good to go.
Thanks,
Kevin Nietrzeba

Communication Update 9:25 AM
At 7:45AM:
We are currently running about 40 minutes behind schedule. A few jobs ran longer than expected on Gamble. The good news is the backup on Gamble completed successfully and 10 minutes early.
The PIOS extract started at 7:40 AM. We are still hoping to make up some time with the LEAP extract times.
We are waiting on an update for the quantity on hand posting.
===============================================================
At 9:23AM:
We have made up some time.
Quantity on hand posting completed at 7:45 AM.
Purchase order line extracts were run again this morning. The purchase order extract on EASTSFD was the same as last night. The purchase order extract from SFD had an additional 514 purchase order lines. I touched base with Riley and he confirmed that the lines can be keyed later in the week. A spreadsheet was forwarded to Riley containing the 514 lines.
LEAP extract four has started at 9:04 AM.
The next conversion is Member Quotes. The Member Quote extracts will be ready within the next 10 minutes which is ahead of schedule. We are in the process of contacting Didi to get ready for the conversion.

closing sessions?
does anyone have an idea why axapta sessions close?
i don't think its a huge problem, but its a little bit strange. last night the QOH loading job completed fine, but the axapta session was gone when i checked on it. this morning 3/5 axapta sessions were closed while posting QOH. i dont think theres much of a problem or anything, but its kind of weird... and it would suck to have that happen if we needed the infolog output for something.

QOH is posting
QOH is being posted, started at 4:15am (could be finished around 7:30-ish?)
Vendor po's loaded/posted fine.
I think didi is going to check on the posting status in the morning.
someone can call me when we get the member quote file (especially if it's early)

Communication Update - 1:45 AM
Good morning everyone. For those of you awake, (Dave, Don, Tammy, and yours truly) I have an update.
- The purchase order extracts have been completed (prior to the end day system) and are ready for John to convert at 2:00 AM.
- Once complete, John will start the quantity on hand posting. Our guess is the QOH posting will be complete around 9:00 AM.
- The backup on Gamble was restarted at 11:00 PM and should finish around 4:00 AM.
- The end day system will kick off at 4:00 AM and complete by 7:00 AM.
- The PIOS extract schedule will run at 7:00 AM.
- The LEAP extract four will commence around 9:00 AM and finish at 11:00 AM
The delay on Gamble has impacted the conversion but not the full 7.5 hours. The next sets of extracts are not required until 9:00 AM. If the extracts are finished by 11:00 AM, we are only 2 hours behind schedule. Please note that this is our best estimate. We will provide a more accurate estimate at 7:00 AM
Ray Ng finally left the building around 12:00 AM. It was a long shift considering he started at 6:30 AM. A BIG thanks to Ray for hanging in there with Dave and I to figure out what our course of action would be.
Dave and I will be in the office at 6:30 AM. We will provide a more accurate estimate once we review the progress on Gamble.

Updated plan - December 23, 2006 1:18 AM
The Plan:
- As Don stated: “All I have to say is make sure you get a backup after the QOH load and before loading the PO’s in case there is any problem with the PO’s.”
- Continue on with the POLINES conversion as scheduled at 2:00 AM.
- Once done, post the quantity on hand. Speaking to Don about your approach, we are using 4 hours as the estimated duration for posting. This takes us to 9:00 AM from what we can see.
- If all goes well (we will know more around 7:00 AM) we should have the Member Quote extracts for you around 10:30 AM. If this is the case, we will be running only an hour and a half behind schedule. (Do not quote me though.) I will indicate to the others that the estimated delay at this moment is 2 hours with a more accurate estimate scheduled for 7:00 AM.

10:15 PM Conversion Update
LEAP extract 3 (quantity on hand) was slightly delayed but has completed. John started the quantity on hand conversion at 8:50 PM.
The backup on Gamble completed at 9:41 PM, slightly delayed, but will not impact the end day system that starts at 10:00 PM.
LEAP extract 4 containing purchase orders, regular orders, Member Quotes, Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable has an estimated start time of 12:30 AM. The purchase orders should be complete around 2:00 AM. Last weeks runs were shorter so I am anticipating the same tonight. I will transfer the purchase orders to the server when completed and John will take it from there.
Member quotes is the next targeted extract. They will be transferred as soon as they are done to give John a head start. (4:00 AM or sooner)

Everything looks good so i'll be going to nap for a while. i'm going to check back in around 2 or 2:30.
i've closed my session if anyone wants to watch it, (wpgsrvg) but you should probably leave a comment here if you do so so everyone knows whos doing what..

back on schedule
all the conversions have been running well this afternoon / evening. i just started the last step for the weekend, store-item-purch.dat at 10pm.
in the morning, the log file will be stored in
\\vaxfs\Axapta\Application Data\Navision\Axapta Application\Log\
a backup will need to be taken in the morning, also..

Back to normal? lets hope so.
Ok, with campaigns done, a backup was made, olga recreated the aoi files, and i started the item attributes. UPCs are running right now, and should be done in an hour or so.
Investigating error message
1. The Backup Exec could be a reason for application file to get hold. I asked Bob to cancel backup of the application folder.
2. We will rebuild .aoi once campaigns are finished
3. I created another database backup after Campains got populated and during recaculation
AXProd_duringcampaingcalculation_17121111.
4. No errors found in Even Viewer on server G

Error message causes more delay?
Campaign conversion just completed flier quote import. best estimate on completion time is around 3pm, but may take as long as 4:30?
we're still in alright shape, for now. at this rate, the last job of the day will start around 2am, so not too late, and it'll finish around 7:30am, still with time to do a backup before everyone wants access to it.
I spoke with olga, and after campaigns are done she wants to rebuild the aoi file, which will only take 10 minutes.
she thinks the error seen this morning might have been caused by a backup of the axapta application, but shes unsure. shes going to talk to bob to find out more information...

Behind schedule ~ a few hours
Started campaigns @ 1:30am
should take about 11-12 hours, ending around 1pm-ish
Didi, if you want to check it out in the morning that would be great.

checking in - another hour until items done?
it looks like we're at the end of the 'catlg-detail.dat' file, so its currently running the warehouse zones file, after that it does item-master.dat. last week it took 5.5 hours to get to this point, today its taken 6.5 hours.
last time it went on for an hour past this point..
for what its worth, it was going the same speed before the power outage, and the file sizes have barely changed since the extract earlier this week, so i can't explain the timing differences.
